Product description

Sophorolipid is a glycolipid biosurfactant produced by Candida yeast with sugar and vegetable oil as carbon source and fermentation process under certain conditions. Biosurfactants have the general properties of solubilization, emulsification, wetting, foaming, dispersion, surface tension reduction and other common properties of conventional surfactants, and also have the characteristics of low toxicity, easy biodegradation, and environmental friendliness.

The production process we use includes two stages of fermentation and extraction. Fermentation process ## is a microbial metabolic process, and the raw material uses ## plant-derived raw materials. The extraction process uses a physical extraction process without organic solvents. There are no chemical reactions and chemical ingredients added in all processes.

The product can be used in petroleum, environmental protection, medicine, food, cosmetics, washing, home care, agriculture, feed and other fields, and can partially replace the use of chemically synthesized surfactants.

It was discovered that different types of sophorolipids have common structural characteristics. Each molecule is composed of new water and hydrophobic parts. The hydrophilic part is sophorose, and the hydrophobic part is saturated or not. Saturated long-chain hydroxy fatty acids. The difference also lies in the length and saturation of the fatty acid chains contained, and the position and degree of acetylation. According to the existence of 1,4" esterification, it is also divided into lactone type and acid type. The lactone type sophorolipid has a better ability to reduce the surface tension; and the acid type sophorolipid has better foam forming ability and solubility According to known literature reports, there may be dozens of specific single structure types.

 Sophorolipids are composed of hydrophilic sophorose (two glucose molecules bound by β-1,2 glycosidic bonds) and hydrophobic saturated or unsaturated long-chain ω-(or ω-1) hydroxy fatty acids. Sophorolipids with different structures have different physical and chemical properties. There are two main types of sophorolipids: lactone type and acid type.
